The first Wausaukee Alumni Education grant was presented today! The award was given to Jenni Russ and Ryanne Deschane to fund a K-5 literacy program called "One School One Book." Each elementary school student will have the opportunity to simultaneously read the same book over the course of a couple weeks to model the habit of regularly reading together (at home and at school) which helps to build a strong literacy foundation.
